David H. Fisher Bio

David H. Fisher grew up in the town of Aplington in North Central Iowa and graduated with distinction from the University of Northern Iowa. He then served 2 years in the United States Army before attending Creighton University Law School where he graduated, cum laude, in 1976. He was a partner in a major Omaha, Nebraska law firm in its branch office in Hastings, Nebraska. In 1987 he joined in the formation of the current firm. He has served on the Hastings Civil Service Commission since 1987, and has been on the elected Educational Service Unit No. 9 Board since 1987, he is currently serving as President. He and his wife, Barb, have 3 children and 7 grandchildren. He is active in the First Presbyterian Church, Hastings Noon Lions Club, Hastings Noon Rotary Club, and has served on numerous civic and charitable boards over his years in Hastings. Dave is a member of Mid-West lodge 317, Hastings Valley of the Scottish Rite and Tehama shrine, serving as the shrine attorney for decades.

He is admitted to practice before the Nebraska Supreme Court, the United States District Court of Nebraska and the 8th Circuit Court of Appeals. He is a member of the Adams County Bar Association, Nebraska Bar Association, and American Bar Association. Dave's areas of practice include corporations, partnerships, limited liability companies, and business formation and operation, employment law, contracts, real estate, environmental law, wills and trusts, estate planning, probate, taxation and litigation related to all of such areas of practice.
